Tile roofs
Tile Roof Cleaning & Sealing in Belleair Bluffs
Clay and concrete tile soak up water and stains in this humid air. We clean the tiles, then seal them clear.
Different roof, different job
Tile does not dry out the way asphalt shingles do, so it never gets the shingle rejuvenation treatment. Its trouble runs the other way: concrete and clay are porous, and on a warm, humid coast they take on water, algae and grime.
Sealing tackles that. Once the tiles are clean, a clear sealer goes on and slows how much water the surface absorbs. Less water in the tile means slower staining and less wear on the surface.
We look over the tiles before pricing. Cracked or slipped tiles are pointed out, so a roofer can deal with them before we seal.
Clean, dry, seal
Clean
A low-pressure wash takes algae, grime and loose debris off the tiles.
Dry
The roof is left to dry out properly before anything goes on.
Seal
A clear sealer is applied evenly across the tile, and the site is tidied.
